Our Services Support Independence, Inclusion, and Employment
Did You Know?
We offer a wide range of services supporting independence, inclusion, and employment.
At Opportunities, Inc., we believe that every person deserves the opportunity to live a meaningful, connected, and independent life.
From employment services and travel training to community engagement and day supports, our programs are designed to help people build confidence, develop skills, and actively participate in their communities.
Community Life Engagement (CLE)
Community inclusion is a major part of what we do. Our Community Life Engagement (CLE) services help people become active participants in their communities through:
- Volunteer opportunities

- Arts and cultural experiences
- Social outings
- Skill-building activities
- Community events and classes
These experiences help foster confidence, independence, friendships, and meaningful community connections.
Route Ready Travel Training
Transportation can often be one of the biggest barriers to independence and employment. That’s why our Route Ready Travel Training Program teaches people how to safely and confidently use public transportation.
People learn:
- Route planning
- Reading schedules
- Street and pedestrian safety
- Using technology for navigation
- How to respond to unexpected travel changes
- Confidence while traveling independently
Travel training empowers people to access jobs, volunteer opportunities, recreation, and social activities with greater independence.
Employment Services
Employment is about more than earning a paycheck. It’s about purpose, confidence, inclusion, and contributing to the community.
Our employment services help adults with disabilities explore career goals and build meaningful employment opportunities through:
- Job development
- Resume and interview support
- Career exploration
- Customized employment services
Our Employment Specialists work directly with both job seekers and employers to create successful, supportive work experiences.
Onsite Job Coaching & Follow-Along Supports
Starting a new job can feel overwhelming for anyone. Our onsite job coaching services provide individualized support to help people learn job tasks, build workplace confidence, and succeed on the job.
As people become more independent, supports can transition into follow-along services, which provide ongoing check-ins and assistance to help maintain long-term employment success. These supports not only benefit the employee but also help employers create more inclusive workplaces.
Employee Development Services (EDS)
Not quite ready to begin applying for jobs? Our 6-week Employee Development Services (EDS) program helps people prepare for the workforce by developing workplace readiness skills and employment confidence.
EDS may include:
- Communication skills
- Resume writing
- Interview preparation
- Workplace expectations
- Professionalism
- Conflict resolution
- Teamwork
- Travel training
- Hands-on learning experiences
Programs like EDS help people explore career paths while gaining practical experience and valuable life skills.
